a perpetually hopeful pessimist and jane of all trades.

currently based in Chicago IL, which occupies the ancestral land of the Council of the Three Fires. my roots spread between the U.S., China, and Kenya. my surname is pronounced “young” in English, which I find fitting as I try to keep a beginner’s mindset through life.
